I have heard Bob Winett’s new recording and I really enjoyed it. I am impressed with the sound he is presenting these days. He is finding the right feeling and mood for each tune and his tone is very consistent. Bob is playing beautifully and makes the whole group sound better because he is the melody man! This allows the other players to compliment him.
If he did not have the sound, it would be another story. The other flutists will be happy to discover that you don’t need to overplay. The flute is such a beautiful instrument, and when you don’t play too much you get to hear the sound of the instrument. This is what Bob Winett has done.”
